Malaysia Economic Indicators Dashboard



The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) through Big Data Analytics Core Team, has launched the Malaysian economic monitoring system through the Malaysia Economic Indicator dashboard.


The COVID-19 pandemic has spread alarmingly, infecting millions and causing severe repercussion for the economy and the people. Economic activity is near a standstill as the government has imposed movement control order to curb the spread of the virus.


The government took various measures in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Thus, this new initiative by DOSM enables all walks of life to monitor the current economic situation and improve statistical literacy among the public.


Malaysia Economic Indicators Dashboard gives a quick overview of the current economic situation based on the selected key economic indicators performance. The dashboard contains eight key economic indicators;

1. Gross Domestic Product (GDP),

2. Employment,

3. Commodities,

4. Prices,

5. Manufacturing,

6. Services,

7. International Trade,

8. Balance of Payments;


These indicators are presented in an interactive visualisation of monthly, quarterly and annual time series.
