Nowcasting is the prediction of the present and nowcasting models have been applied widely in institution like Central Banks, that use the estimates of economic indicators to monitor the state of the economy in real-time as a proxy for official measures. Here is the interesting findings on nowcasting the Malaysia's GDP using the Dynamic Factor Model (DFM).
